Cheektowaga, NY – Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on William St

Cheektowaga, NY (September 16, 2025) – On Saturday evening, September 13, a serious motor vehicle accident occurred on William Street, just east of the I-90 in Cheektowaga, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

According to Cheektowaga Police, the crash involved a motorcycle and two additional vehicles. Responding officers arrived to find the motorcycle engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to one of the other vehicles. The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the other vehicles cooperated with authorities and were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Doyle Fire Company assisted in extinguishing the fire, and New York State Police “T” Troop helped manage traffic control in the area. The Cheektowaga Police Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the deadly collision. William Street was closed between the I-90 ramp and Vern Lane but was expected to reopen in the early morning hours of September 13.
