Buffalo, NY (June 30, 2025) – A Sunday evening car crash involving a Buffalo Police patrol unit left at least three people injured and sent them to local hospitals for treatment. On June 29, around 7 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Sycamore Street and Mills Street, just south of Martin Luther King Jr. Park, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
According to a City of Buffalo spokesperson, the crash involved a marked Buffalo Police vehicle and a civilian-operated 2010 Ford F-150. Two Buffalo Police officers, along with the civilian driver, were transported to Erie County Medical Center. Fortunately, early reports indicate that their injuries are not life-threatening.
Officers from the department’s Accident Investigation Unit arrived at the scene and immediately began gathering evidence to determine what led to the collision. Traffic delays were noted in the surrounding area as crews worked to clear the intersection and ensure the safety of nearby drivers and pedestrians.
