Buffalo, NY (August 29, 2025) – A collision involving a marked patrol vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a sheriff’s sergeant and a K9 injured on Wednesday afternoon, August 27, in Buffalo.
The crash took place around 2:55 p.m. on Interstate 190 near Seneca Street, according to officials with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. The sergeant, who was behind the wheel of the patrol unit, collided with the commercial truck while on duty.
Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured sergeant to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
